The Dancing Queen
Cathy is a highly trained classical ballet, tap and jazz dancer. She has studied in Vancouver B.C., London and New York. A highly sought-after dancer. Her focus now is primarily as a professional choreographer, for Singapore productions such as; The Wizard of Oz, Duck and Dive, Aesopʼs Fables, Moonbird, Jungle Book, Grimms Fairy Tales, The Ant and the Grasshopper, The Arabian Nights, The Elves and the Shoemaker for ImaginArts’ sister company ‘I Theatre’ and many others.
She’s in constant demand by theatre companies, corporate events, and teaching in schools at all levels.
Cathy’s work has taken her to Japan, Korea, Shanghai, Beijing, Dubai, Myanmar, Australia, India, Pakistan, Brunei, Vietnam, London, Sri Lanka, Thailand, with the Singapore Tourism Board, the list is almost endless.
Her excellent work was enjoyed by literally millions at the 2008 Singapore National Day Parade 2008.
And again at the Youth Olympic Games in Singapore and New Zealand in 2010,
The National Dance Works has recognized her eye for talent, as a judge for 4 consecutive years.
Cathy’s acting work was seen on the TV series, Under One Roof, Phua Chu Kang, Growing Up to name a few. But her heart belongs to theatre, so after 8 years in TV, she returned to the stage. We’re glad to have her involved in our shows and school outreach programs.
